Update your browserHello! My name is Vicki McNabb. I have been the proud owner and operator of Creative Minds Daycare since 2009. My greatest accomplishment has been providing a safe learning environment for children to grow and thrive.
As for my educational background, I majored in psychology and sociology at McMaster University, completed the Child and Youth Worker course at Mohawk College, and have been a registered ECE for more than 20 years. I formerly owned and operated Home Sweet Home Daycare in Hamilton from 2000 to 2005.
I have four beautiful children, and in my spare time I love to travel and kayak with my wonderfully supportive husband.
My name is Caitlin Reansbury and I am a supervisor at Creative Minds Children Services, Inc. I have been working with Vicki for 11 years! I have worked in the preschool program as well as the infant program. I have seen the centre grow from having one child to over 100 children and it has been quite the ride!
I am currently a Registered Early Childhood Educator, but also have my Social Work Diploma and a Nutrition Certification. I have one child named Peter, who has grown up in the centre and experienced all that Creative Minds has to offer the young mind.
Hi! My name is Miss Erica. I have been with creative minds since 2017. I love exploring science, nature, and number concepts with your children. I have worked in childcare since 2014 and recently completed the ECE program with Conestoga College in 2020.
I live in Brantford with my husband, Stan and two children, Gabrielle, and Aiden. As a family we enjoy walking bike riding and camping.
In my spare time I enjoy reading, exercise/fitness, and meditation.
I look forward to accompanying you through your children’s preschool years.
Hello! My name is Miss Ginny. I have been a Registered Early Childhood Educator for ten years; I have worked here at Creative Minds since 2011 in all roles here you could imagine. I enjoy helping where and whenever I am needed.
I understand that families and the values we share here are of utter most importance.
My family consists of myself, my loving husband Andrew, my four children; John, Riley, Josh, and Shelby. I also have a yellow lab named Tucker.
I love being a preschool teacher from seeing the first smile in the morning, my leg being hugged or helping an anxious child who is still uncertain. I make sure every child feels safe loved and understood. The personal relationship I build with each child is the foundation that allows the learning to happen.
I enjoy creating a sense of community by encouraging parents to join our hi Mama site and to always keep the lines of communication open.
My educational philosophy is that the job of all the teachers in a child’s life, is to not design the path for the child, but to prepare the child for the path they choose.
In my classroom children have the freedom to explore their interests for as long and as thoroughly as they so choose. While yes sharing is an important lesson to learn, keeping personal interests alive and getting the full experience of what an invitation or an activity has to offer, is equally as important.
It is also important to me that in the classroom, both teachers and children work together as a team! We think, plan, and work together to make sure everyone is getting what they need in all aspects of learning. As a class, we acknowledge and praise when someone has been working really hard and finally succeeds in that hard task. We make sure that fairness is not everyone getting the same one thing, but everyone is getting what they need to succeed, and we learn patience and kindness toward each other because we all deserve to feel valued, safe, understood, and loved.
Learning is not always easy, but it is always worth it.
“Teaching kids to count is fine but teaching them what counts is best.” -Bob Talbert
Hi my name is Rachel Warner I am a RECE. I graduated from the ECE program back in 2015 from Mohawk College. I love to work with children it has always been my passion in life since I was the age of 10. I have worked with so many children over the years. Within the last few years I have worked with a lot of children on spectrum as well as diagnosed with ADHD. I learned so much each and everyday I work with children and love to teach them new and exciting things to help them in their future endeavours. I am a very creative person, bubbly and I laugh a lot. My goal is to make sure each child within my care feels loved, appreciated, respected and safe.
My name is Amanda Firth and I am a Registered ECE and Certified Elementary Teacher in the Primary Junior Division. I am also a single mother of 3 beautiful children that I am so incredibly proud of. I have been working with children since 2008, when I began my education in the Early Childhood Field. I have worked with children in infancy all the way through to grade six and have enjoyed every age group.
I feel that my job has so many rewarding and exciting aspects to it, but the main reasons why I love my job so much are that I get the opportunity to build lasting connections with the children and families, and see the look of accomplishment and smile on a child's face when they have learned something new or mastered a new skill. I love bringing new and exciting activities and materials into the classroom for the children to explore and learn with.
Working at Creative Minds for over 8 years I have been able to observe the children in their journey from their first day at the centre to their preschool graduation. Watching them grow into such confident and capable individuals has been a wonderful experience. I look forward to getting to know your family and being part of your child's learning journey.

I am the cook at Creative Minds. I have a culinary diploma from Liaison College. I also have a Food Handler's certificate, First Aid and CPR which are renewed as required. I have recently completed a certificate for Nutrition.

I have been employed at Creative Minds for 6 and a half years at this time. I love to cook and bake. I believe homemade is the best way to cook and I arrange this as much as possible, taking into consideration the large number of children our daycare centre has. I am blessed to be able to do what I love and am surrounded by these tiny people who give me so much joy. I am committed to my job and take great pride in my position here at Creative Minds.

I love music, dance, photography and everything art! I sing and play guitar as well, I hope to incorporate some of these talents in the classroom. It’s my ultimate goal to inspire the minds of as many children I possibly can. I started working at creative minds in September 2021, and have grown so much since I started. It’s my hope to keep growing as a teacher. I strongly believe that children are our future and am passionate about being the educator I would have wanted as a child. The first 5 years are crucial to young children. Knowing this I’m looking forward to being positive influence and leader to the wonderful little children I will have to privilege of getting to teach and interact with while working at Creative Minds!
